Beloved Epcot Attraction "Living with the Land" to be Rethemed to Sesame Street

Orlando, FL – Disney Parks is excited to announce a magical transformation of the beloved Epcot attraction "Living with the Land." The timeless journey through agricultural innovation is being reimagined as "Elmo and Abby's Food Adventure," an enchanting and educational boat ride featuring the adorable Sesame Street characters, Elmo and Abby Cadabby. This new attraction promises to captivate guests of all ages with its delightful storyline and interactive experiences.

Queue Experience

As you step into the queue, you'll be transported to the bustling streets of New York City, complete with the iconic Sesame Street. Murals and backdrops bring this beloved neighborhood to life, with facades of familiar buildings lining the way. Interactive moments and surprises await, including TV screens where Elmo and Abby introduce your adventure through a catchy, original song. And don't forget to check out Oscar the Grouch's trash can for a few grumpy but fun interactions!

Boarding the Ride

Your adventure begins as you board your boat from the Hudson River. Excitement builds as Elmo and Abby, as animatronic puppets, guide you through each area with charming explanations and delightful interactions.

Rainforest Room

First stop, the rainforest! Here, you'll learn about coffee beans, bananas, and cocoa beans. The lush, green scenery surrounds you as Elmo and Abby point out these exotic plants. You can almost smell the coffee and cocoa as you glide through this vibrant environment.

Prairie Room

Next, you drift into the prairies, arriving at a dairy farm. Here, you’ll see cows grazing and learn how milk is produced. Suddenly, Snuffalupugus appears, and chaos ensues in the funniest way possible! The laughter and learning never stop as Elmo and Abby keep the adventure rolling.

Farmhouse Room

As your boat glides past a charming farmhouse, you’ll see Bert and Ernie in the windows. Ernie is in his bathtub singing "Rubber Ducky," with bubbles floating out the window. Bert, ever the curious one, calls down to Elmo and Abby, asking what they’re up to and suggests they grab some corn and carrots from the farm.

The Barn

Inside the barn, the adventure continues with clips from Sesame Street that focus on food, plants, and fruits. It’s a nostalgic trip down memory lane, filled with beloved moments and important lessons about where our food comes from.

Greenhouse Room

The final stop is the greenhouse, where all your Sesame Street friends are hard at work. Elmo and Abby introduce you to the vibrant scene where each character helps plant and care for different crops. Cookie Monster is all about the sugarcane (for cookies, of course), Big Bird is tending to squash, Grover is nurturing eggplants, and the Count is hilariously counting garlic cloves while sneezing. Snuffleupagus waters the plants with his tusk, and large singing letters appear by each crop, matching the first letter of their names. It’s a colorful, musical feast for the eyes and ears!

Ride Conclusion

As your journey comes to an end, you’ll hear the familiar song from the queue, bringing everything full circle. The boat docks, and Oscar the Grouch has one last message: “It’s important to protect the earth. Get your garbage and scram!”

Closing

"Elmo and Abby's Food Adventure" is not just a ride—it’s an immersive, educational experience that combines the magic of Sesame Street with the wonders of our natural world. It’s a journey that entertains, educates, and leaves you with a smile. Thank you, and we can’t wait for you to join Elmo, Abby, and all their friends on this unforgettable adventure!
