California DisneyCoast: Final Details of Park Unveiled

Long Beach, CA - Exciting news for Disney enthusiasts and theme park aficionados! Details of the second half of California DisneyCoast have just been announced, and the anticipation is building.

As Kaity says, "There are only two ways to cure the blues of this project never happening: go to Tokyo to experience DisneySea OR make up our own park and live in lala land like we do on every episode." We’re thrilled to share that we’ve got three more ports of call to complete our imaginative park, California DisneyCoast.

From Mediterranean Coast to Atlantis At the end of Part 2, Marissa was guiding us from the Mediterranean Coast into the next port, mentioning a journey... underwater. Welcome to Atlantis! Stephen elaborates, "You’re now under the sea, but not in Ariel’s world. Picture a land inspired by the movie but free from its restrictions, offering an entirely new experience." The focal point of the entire park, not just the land, is the Atlantis Castle. Imagine an ethereal underwater palace with towering spires and domes encrusted with corals and seashells. This castle will be home to King Atlas' Table, promising the finest seafood dining experience in any Disney Park, featuring dishes like lobster bisque, sushi and sashimi, seafood paella, and the grand Seafood Tower.

Atlantis will also feature elements from the 2001 animated film, including a groundbreaking ride called Voyage to Atlantis. This dark ride, the first of its kind, travels both above and below water with your guide Milo from the movie.

Mystic Seas: Legends of the Deep Next, guests will transition from Atlantis to the mysterious Mystic Seas, dedicated to the legends of the ocean. Marissa introduces Pearl Quest: Journey to the Heart of the Sea, a thrilling ride inspired by Journey to the Center of the Earth at DisneySea. Guests will navigate through an ancient underwater temple, encounter sea monsters like the Kraken and megalodon, and search for a lost pearl to restore peace to the ocean.

The port will also feature immersive walkaround characters, a spooky fishing village atmosphere, and the mystical merch at the haunted bait shop.

Sydney Harbor: A Touch of Australia Leaving Mystic Seas, visitors will enter Sydney Harbor, bringing a slice of Australia to a Disney Park for the first time. Stephen reveals plans for a replica of the iconic Sydney Opera House, which will serve as both a photo op and a venue for shows like Bluey Live on Stage! The land will also feature a candy shop designed as Dr. P. Sherman’s dentist office turned sweets shop, offering unique Australian snacks like Tim Tams and Fairy Bread.

Attractions in Sydney Harbor will include Crush’s Coaster from Paris and a Soarin’ style ride themed around Australia, potentially featuring the giant golden eagle from The Rescuers Down Under.

A Nighttime Spectacular: Illuminations: Reflections of the Sea To cap off the day, guests will gather around the central lagoon for "Illuminations: Reflections of the Sea." This nighttime spectacular will blend elements from Epcot's Illuminations, World of Color, and Fantasmic!, featuring beloved Disney characters and stories from the park’s various lands, including Peter Pan, Luca, The Little Mermaid, Nemo, and Atlantis, with Mickey as the Sea King.\
