EPCOT Introduces the Wonders of the Elements Pavilion

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL - Epcot is thrilled to announce the addition of an exciting new pavilion, Wonders of the Elements, dedicated to the fascinating world of weather and natural disasters. This innovative pavilion will bring an array of interactive experiences and cutting-edge technology to guests, immersing them in the dynamic forces of nature.

The Wonders of the Elements pavilion will undergo a full refurbishment of the existing building, transforming it to feature state-of-the-art technology. The pavilion will include projection mapping on the ceiling to create the illusion of a glass dome, where guests will experience various weather conditions, from rain to snow, all controlled to change throughout the day.

A highlight of the pavilion will be the opportunity for guests to step into the role of a meteorologist, narrating the weather with a teleprompter and green screen. Their performances will be displayed on a jumbo screen, and "real" meteorologists will provide weather demonstrations with interactive games for the audience.

The pavilion will also feature an indoor version of Pixie Hollow, where guests can meet Tinkerbell and her weather-controlling friends, including Silvermist, Rosetta, Iridessa, Periwinkle. Guest will also find new characters Ember and Wade from Disney/Pixar’s Elemental.

The main attraction, Forbidden Island Mayhem, will take guests on a thrilling adventure to Hawaii's “Forbidden Island” of Niihau. Guests will board research rovers equipped for off-roading and underwater exploration. Guided by AINA, an Artificial Intelligence Navigation Assistant named after the Hawaiian word for “earth,” guests will explore Hawaii's natural wonders, from crystal-clear waters and lush forests to volcanic peaks.

Using the latest ride vehicle technology, guests will experience 360-degree twists, turns, and vertical movements. The ride will take them underwater to explore coral reefs and experience an underwater earthquake, navigate through a powerful tropical storm, glide through rainforests and waterfalls, and marvel at active volcanoes and molten lava flows.

The Wonders of the Elements pavilion aims to showcase Hawaii's diverse ecosystems and dynamic forces of nature with immersive storytelling and innovative ride technology, inspiring guests to appreciate and protect the natural world.

We invite you to join us at the new Wonders of the Elements Pavilion and embark on a journey through the elements, whether exploring the science of weather, venturing into rainforests, or navigating volcanic landscapes. The elements are there to guide your path!
