Orlando, FL – In an exciting new venture, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming expansion of Disney's All-Star Resorts with the introduction of Camp Walden, the first-ever Disney Vacation Club (DVC) option for a value resort, set to revolutionize the guest experience.
A Journey Back in Time Inspired by the beloved 1998 film The Parent Trap, Camp Walden will transport guests into the nostalgic world of summer camp. Located around the hourglass-shaped lake on the east side of All-Star Movies, this new section will offer a unique blend of affordability and the signature magic of Disney.
Camp Walden Features Camp Walden will feature 40 cabin-style, one-bedroom villas, each sleeping up to five guests, creating an intimate camp experience with a total capacity of 200 guests. The cabins will be styled after those from the film, named after different Native American tribes, and will include modern amenities while maintaining the charming camp atmosphere.
Exclusive Amenities
Great Hall: A private front desk and concierge location for DVC members, with cast members in camp counselor costumes. Each guest will receive a welcome kit including a branded flashlight, camp map, bandanas, trail mix, and sunscreen.
Mess Hall: A food court serving classic American dishes.
Rec Center: An indoor/outdoor multi-use facility for arts, crafts, and seasonal activities, featuring a memory wall for guests to leave their mark with Polaroid photos.
Private Pool: An exclusive pool for Camp Walden guests, providing a relaxing retreat within the resort.
Activities and Entertainment Camp Walden will offer a variety of activities, including an outdoor movie viewing area showing The Parent Trap and other classic Disney camp films nightly. Guests can also enjoy arts and crafts, camp games, and seasonal events.
Special Events and Holiday Magic During the holiday season, Camp Walden will transform into a winter wonderland with the Osborne Family Lights adorning buildings, trees, and walkways. This spectacular display will be open to non-guests for a special admission, offering a festive experience complete with hot chocolate and holiday cheer.
Transportation and Accessibility Thanks to the DMSW podcast collaboration with Marissa and Johnny J (Season 2 Episode 9), the Skyliner will now serve the All-Star Resorts, providing easy access for guests. Additionally, the existing bus transportation system will continue to offer convenient options for exploring the rest of Walt Disney World Resort.
Future Expansion Possibilities The success of Camp Walden could pave the way for more innovative DVC concepts across other value and moderate resorts. Ideas include a new section of Pop Century representing the 1940s and Animator’s Suites at Art of Animation themed around the original Disney Brothers studio.
Join Us at Camp Walden We invite you to experience the magic and nostalgia of Camp Walden, where unforgettable memories are made. Stay tuned for more details and the grand opening date.
