Announcing "Rhythm of the Kingdom" Parade: A Celebration of Culture at Disney's Animal Kingdom

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL - Disney is thrilled to unveil its latest spectacle at Animal Kingdom: "Rhythm of the Kingdom" Parade, a dazzling procession celebrating the diverse cultures of Africa, Asia, Pandora, and beyond.

Led by beloved characters and adorned with colorful floats, "Rhythm of the Kingdom" promises an immersive journey through lands filled with music, dance, and surprises at every turn. Paying homage to the park's rich history while embracing a vision for the future, this parade guarantees an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages.

"After a decade-long hiatus, we couldn't wait any longer to bring a new parade to Animal Kingdom," said Amanda, Guest Project Manager at Idiot's Guide to Imagineering. "With 'Rhythm of the Kingdom,' we're blending the spirit of adventure with the pulse of celebration, inviting guests to join us on a rhythmic journey like no other."

The parade will kick off and conclude in Africa, following the same route as the iconic Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade, which concluded in 2014. Ensuring a seamless experience, Disney has cleared the parade route, making way for the majestic oversized floats and crew of performers.

Featuring all-new music reminiscent of Disney's iconic 90s harmonies, the parade will introduce an original theme song titled "Rhythm of Us," paying tribute to the parade's predecessors while infusing a fresh, modern energy.

Spanning eight captivating units, the parade will traverse through Africa, Asia, Pandora, Tropical Americas, North America, Dinoland & Beastly Kingdom, and opening and closing units. Each unit will showcase unique cultural elements, from traditional African dance to vibrant celebrations of Diwali and the festival of lights.

"We're bringing the world to Animal Kingdom," said Amanda. "From the spirited rhythms of Central and South America to the mystical allure of Pandora, each unit offers a glimpse into the rich tapestry of global cultures."

In addition to the vibrant floats and performances, "Rhythm of the Kingdom" will feature beloved characters from Disney's extensive roster, including Mickey, Minnie, Raya, Baloo, King Louie, Pocahontas, Meeko, and many more.

With its dynamic choreography, elaborate costumes, and infectious energy, "Rhythm of the Kingdom" promises to be a highlight of the Animal Kingdom experience, inviting guests to dance to the beat of their own adventure.
