Swingin’ O’Malley’s Studio & Den: A New Jazz Experience Coming to Epcot’s France Pavilion

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL – Disney is excited to unveil an enchanting new addition to Epcot’s France Pavilion, combining the charm of early 1900s Paris with the soulful rhythms of jazz. Swingin’ O’Malley’s Studio and Den is set to delight guests of all ages with its unique blend of interactive musical experiences and sophisticated evening entertainment.

Swingin’ O’Malley’s Studio: A Jazz Haven for Young Guests

Imagine strolling through cobblestone streets, the warm glow of gas street lamps illuminating your path, as the scents of fresh pastries and warm baguettes fill the air. Welcome to Swingin’ O’Malley’s Studio, where the elegance of aristocracy meets the soulful rhythm of jazz inspired by Disney’s beloved Aristocats.

Located in a two-story Parisian-style building, Swingin’ O’Malley’s Studio will open its doors to the youngest Disney guests for an immersive 30-minute interactive experience. Kids and parents are invited to explore the world of jazz, learning about different instruments and even participating in a live musical performance. This experience, running daily from 11 AM to 5:30 PM, will feature:

  • A studio lounge with interactive paintings and art.

  • Instrument rooms where trained educators introduce children to jazz instruments.

  • A lively jam session where children help create a version of “Everybody Wants to Be a Cat.”

  • A concluding meet-and-greet with characters like Marie, Toulouse, and Berlioz.

Reservations for Swingin’ O’Malley’s Studio will be available through Disney’s Lightning Lane system.

O’Malley’s Jazz Den: An Intimate Evening Jazz Club

As the sun sets, the second floor of the Parisian building transforms into O’Malley’s Jazz Den, a sophisticated jazz club geared more toward adults. Open from 6 PM to park closing, O’Malley’s Jazz Den offers:

  • Specialty craft cocktails, local French wines, and light Parisian bites.

  • An intimate setting reminiscent of the iconic “Everybody Wants to Be a Cat” scene, complete with a pink piano, mismatched wooden furniture, and a swinging, multi-colored lamp.

  • Interactive elements, including virtual piano bars and tables for guests to engage with the music.

  • Live performances by a resident jazz band and a dedicated area for dancing.

Guests dining at Monsieur Paul will have exclusive access through a “back alley” entrance, creating a seamless transition from a fine dining experience to the vibrant jazz club atmosphere.

Expanding the France Pavilion

Swingin’ O’Malley’s Studio and Den will be located in an expanded area of the France Pavilion, utilizing space previously reserved for a potential new country pavilion. The new two-story building will be constructed next to Chefs de France, enhancing the pavilion’s offerings without removing existing beloved locations.

A Unique Blend of Day and Night Experiences

Swingin’ O’Malley’s Studio and Den provides a one-of-a-kind jazz experience, with interactive learning sessions during the day and an elegant jazz club ambiance at night. This dual-experience approach ensures that guests of all ages can enjoy and appreciate the rich culture and music of early 1900s Paris.

Join us at Epcot’s France Pavilion for an unforgettable journey through the sights, sounds, and tastes of Parisian jazz. Swingin’ O’Malley’s Studio and Den is set to become a must-visit destination for Disney park-goers, offering a perfect blend of education, entertainment, and elegance.
